Six-Fours-les-Plages

Six-Fours-les-Plages is located midway between Toulon and Bandol in the Var department.

It is a great starting point for excursions in the area, both along the coast and into the beautiful and lush hinterland. Six-Fours-les-Plages is therefore an ideal holiday destination.

Six-Fours-les-Plages, which covers an area of almost 2700 hectares, is made up of 26 small villages and is one of the largest municipalities on the coast.

The 18-kilometre stretch of coastline alternates between large, wide sandy beaches and small secluded coves, picturesque harbours and large protected forest areas.

In addition, Six-Fours-les-Plages is home to numerous impressive historical monuments, most notably the 11th-century Collégiale St. Pierre at an altitude of 210 metres and the 5th-century Chapelle de Pépiole. From Notre Dame du Mai, located at the top of Cap Sicié at an altitude of 358 metres, you'll enjoy stunning panoramic views of the hinterland and the coast from Cassis to Toulon.

Six-Fours-les-Plages also offers a myriad of sports activities including all kinds of water sports: regattas, scuba diving, angling and sea fishing, canoeing, kayaking, windsurfing, water skiing, rowing etc.

Along the coast, you can follow the Sentier du Littoral path that leads to the small fishing village of Le Brusc. From here you can take the boat out to the small archipelago, Îles des Embiez, a very nice excursion spot.
