Claviers

Claviers is a small, charming Provençal medieval village located 20 km north-east of Draguignan and 38 km north-west of the holiday resort Fréjus in the Var department. Claviers is a so-called village perché, a floating village where the houses are built amphitheatrically up the hillside. A holiday in Claviers offers great opportunities for exploring the many exciting villages in the hinterland and excursions in the beautiful Provencal countryside.

Claviers is beautifully situated in the centre of a lush hilly landscape of olive, pine and oak trees. Claviers offers fantastic views of the surrounding hills and all the way to the Mediterranean Sea. There are also great views towards the neighbouring village of Bargemon.

Claviers is a typical medieval village with narrow, winding streets and old stone houses. Despite this, Claviers is a very open and bright town, unlike so many other medieval villages.
