FAQTypical questions when booking:
How do I book?Today, most people book online on our website. Of course, you are also very welcome to contact us either by email info@provacances.dk or by phone on + 45 96 70 60 00. Please state the property number, the desired rental period, name and address, landline and mobile number, number of adults and children, age of each child and any special requests (final cleaning, linen rental, high chair, high bed etc.). See our opening hours here. When/how early can I make a booking? For the current season: For the upcoming season: Payment of the holiday home? You can either pay by bank transfer or by credit card online. The amount is paid in 2 rates. The 1st rate/deposit is due 4 days after the order has been done. The 1st rate represents 30% of the rental amount. The balance is due 6 weeks before arrival. When ordering less than 6 weeks before arrival, the full amount is due along with the booking. When we have received the full amount, we will send you the voucher. Secure online paymentsWe understand security is a very serious concern for online payments and that is why all payment and sensitive payment information is protected by the QuickPay Payment System. When will I receive my rental agreement? When you have booked a holiday home with Provacances, you will first receive an order confirmation. This confirmation constitutes a binding agreement with Provacances. Provacances' acceptance of the booking is made by subsequently submitting a written acceptance to the tenant and sending a rental agreement. The rental agreement will be sent to you when Provacances has registered your first payment. If you book and pay online on Friday after the office closes or at the weekend, the rental agreement will be sent on Monday. What does 'confirmation within 24 hours' mean? When a holiday rental states 'confirmation within 24 hours,' it means that your booking cannot be confirmed immediately. This may be because the holiday rental is also offered by other agencies, which can occasionally result in an incomplete calendar. Therefore, we must wait for a confirmation from the property owner. There may be a response time of up to 24 hours. If we receive the owner's acceptance, your booking will be confirmed to you immediately. However, if we do not receive the owner's acceptance, your booking will be canceled, and we will attempt to find a good alternative to offer you. When will I receive my voucher? You will receive your voucher 10 days before arrival. The voucher contains all necessary information regarding arrival, including contact information during your stay and any codes for internet, alarm etc. We send the voucher by e-mail. In the event that we send a key, it will of course be sent by regular mail. Can I change or cancel my order? When you make a booking on our site, it is binding. However, you will always have 3 days to regret your booking without any costs, if this happens more than 6 weeks before arrival. Do you have modifications or want to cancel your booking, you can send an e-mail to info@provacances.dk or call +45 96 70 60 00. By modification or annulment more than 3 days after the booking has been made, we refer to the rental conditions. Can a group of young people book a holiday home?Provacances does not accept groups of youngsters with an average age below 30. Provacances has the right to cancel the booking without any refund if the guests are in fact a group of youngsters. Families with children are of course welcome to rent a holiday home. In some cases we can with the owner’s acceptance allow groups of young people. In such cases we will charge a higher amount for the security deposit. If you have any questions please send an e-mail to info@provacances.dk. Security deposit?A security deposit is required for all rentals. The security deposit covers any damage to the property during your stay or insufficient final cleaning. In case of an additional consumption charge, the security deposit also serves as a guarantee for payment of consumption. When do I pay the security deposit? The security deposit must be paid along with the second payment for the holiday home. The second payment is due 6 weeks before arrival. For last-minute bookings, the security deposit is settled along with the full rental amount at the time of the reservation. When do I get my security deposit back? The security deposit will be refunded no later than three weeks after the rental period ends. Deductions for any damages, inadequate cleaning, or additional consumption costs will be applied before the refund. If deductions exceed the deposit amount, the excess will be invoiced. Why do I have to pay tourist tax?Local authorities in France levy a tourist tax on visitors to the country. Typically, an amount per person per day is charged. The amount varies widely and can range from €1.5 to €6 per person per day. However, in most places, children under the age of 18 are exempt from this tax. The tourist tax is either collected on site or invoiced before or after the rental. Utility billingConsumption is included in the vast majority of our holiday rentals. However, there may be a fixed on-account consumption that is either invoiced by Provacances or settled on site. In some cases, the actual consumption is charged for. In France, the owner sends a statement at the end of the stay and the consumption is offset in connection with the release of the damage deposit. How am I covered if Provacances goes bankrupt? When paying with an international card (Mastercard/Visa), the payment service provider (Nets, Teller, Bambora etc) is liable for the payment and your loss is thus covered. |
