Arrival and departure information

Key handover

The key is handed over either by a contact person at the holiday home's address, at another specified address, or it can be found in a key box on-site. In some cases, the key may be sent by mail directly to the tenant. Please note: If using a key box or if the key is received by mail, there will not be a contact person present upon arrival.

Arrival time

Arrival is typically on Saturdays from 4 PM (some properties allow check-in at 5 PM or 7 PM). However, some properties have arrival days on Fridays or Sundays. Outside of high season, it may be possible to arrive any day of the week at certain properties. With your reservation, we will provide detailed driving directions and the key collection point approximately four weeks before your arrival.

For properties with on-site key handover: If your expected arrival time is later than 8 pm, please inform Provacances as soon as possible and no later than 1 week before arrival, after which we will notify the owner or contact person. The arrival time must be confirmed directly with the contact person no later than 2 days before arrival. In the event of a delay on the day of arrival, the owner or contact person must be notified directly. For certain properties, there will be a fee of €30.00 to €50.00 for arrivals after 8 PM. If this fee is not paid on-site, it will be invoiced later. Provacances cannot be held responsible if a late arrival at the holiday home makes access impossible on the first day of the rental period.

Please remember to report any complaints immediately if there are damages to the furnishings or if the holiday home has not been cleaned properly.

Departure

Departure is typically by Saturday at the latest by 10 AM. However, some properties have departure days on Fridays or Sundays. Outside of the high season, it may be possible to depart any day of the week in certain properties.

The key should be handed over to the contact person who provided it upon arrival. The exact time for this should be arranged directly with the contact person. Upon departure, the premises will be inspected together with the contact person. If a key box is used, simply leave the key in the box when departing. If the key was received by mail, please return it to Provacances as soon as possible. For properties with key handovers, an inspection of the premises is typically not conducted at departure.
