Holidays in Tourrettes-sur-LoupThe small mountain village of Tourrettes-sur-Loup is one of the Riviera's most beautiful and best preserved medieval villages. Clinging to the cliffs between two deep gorges, it is set in a stunning landscape in the beautiful hinterland between Nice and Cannes. Tourrettes-sur-Loup offers impressive views of the mountains, rolling green countryside and the Mediterranean Sea. The town is incredibly authentic and charming with its small church built on Roman foundations and its small winding streets with picturesque well-preserved houses. Life unfolds around the town square with small restaurants and cafés. Chat at the butcher, baker and grocer or at the small weekly market, and when the winter sun brings out the old wives on the benches along the church wall, the men pass the time on the boules court. Tourrettes-sur-Loup is approximately 14 kilometres from the coast, 5-6 kilometres from Vence and Nice airport is only 20 kilometres away. Here you are close to everything, not least nature, with wild gorges and cascading waterfalls, beautiful hiking trails where you can meet shepherds with flocks of sheep and goats sipping wild thyme.
