Sainte-Maxime is the starting point for your holiday in the South of FranceSainte-Maxime is a small seaside resort located in the beautiful bay of Saint-Tropez, a good hour's drive southwest of Nice. Sit down on a bench, enjoy the game and the special southern French atmosphere. Sainte-Maxime offers a beautiful old town with narrow streets and houses built in the Provencal style. There are plenty of shops, several good restaurants, eateries and ice-cream parlours. There are several small, cosy squares where there is a market during the week. In the evenings during the summer, the old town comes alive with life. The unspoilt nature and beautiful surroundings of Sainte-Maxime invite you to explore by car, bike or on foot. The area offers several small and large wine castles, beautiful seaside resorts and old medieval towns. 
From the harbour in Sainte-Maxime there are daily boat departures to Saint-Tropez, located on the opposite side of the Bay of Saint-Tropez. The journey takes just 15 minutes.
