Holidays in Saint-TropezSaint-Tropez is the most fashionable town on the French Mediterranean coast. With its beautiful marina and old harbour, Saint-Tropez oozes charm. It was originally a quiet fishing village until Brigitte Bardot, Françoise Sagan and other celebrities discovered the place and attracted the jet set throughout the 1960s. Now it's all one big circus in the summer. This is where the jet set meets and along the quayside in the marina you'll find one yacht after another with prominent guests. Saint-Tropez is set in beautiful surroundings in the Golfe de Saint-Tropez. The coastline offers calm sandy beaches that are perfect for all kinds of water sports. The town's main attraction is undoubtedly the beautiful harbour and the quay with its old pastel-coloured houses. In the harbour basin you can see the old fishing boats lying side by side with the huge yachts. An impressive sight. Saint-Tropez also offers a beautiful old town with narrow streets and alleys and interesting courtyards behind deep gates, and if you climb the stairs in the complex behind the town, you can quickly see the whole of Saint-Tropez and the bay from above. 
Be prepared that in July and August the road to Saint-Tropez is blocked by traffic jams, except in the early morning and evening hours. It is therefore recommended to travel by water. From the neighbouring holiday villages of Sainte-Maxime, Cogolin, Port-Grimaud and Les Issambres, there are hourly departures to Saint-Tropez during the high season on one of the green boats, Les Bateaux Verts. The entrance to Saint-Tropez is such a beautiful panorama and the boat docks in the middle of the old harbour, so you are instantly in the heart of the action. Provacances offers holiday homes in the nearby holiday villages of Grimaud, Sainte-Maxime, Saint-Aygulf, Fréjus and Les Issambres.
