Saint-Jeannet between Nice and AntibesSaint-Jeannet is a charming medieval village located on a mountain plateau in the hinterland between Nice and Antibes. It is located in a scenic area at the foot of the mighty rock Baou de Saint-Jeannet. It's a pretty little mountain village that has practically grown out of the mountain. It is not overrun by tourists and exudes an authentic southern French atmosphere. Saint-Jeannet offers beautiful old stone houses, fountains, shady squares, alleys and stairways that intersect. You first enter Place St Barbe, from where there is a fantastic view of the coast and the Mediterranean Sea. Here you'll find a small terrace café and an Auberge/restaurant. It is recommended to park your car outside the town where there is a free car park and a short walk to the town centre. Saint-Jeannet is dominated by the impressive Baou de Saint Jeannet rock, which looks steep and inaccessible, but it is possible to climb it. The hike up there takes around an hour and is highly recommended. Le Baou offers excellent views northwards over the mountains and southwards along the coast from Nice to Cannes. ![]() If you're looking for a holiday home in a small authentic mountain village close to Cannes and Nice with easy access to the beautiful Mediterranean beaches, Saint-Jeannet is an obvious choice.
