Holidays in AntibesLocated midway between Nice and Cannes, Antibes is the third largest city on the Riviera. It is one of the Riviera's most popular holiday destinations with Europe's largest marina and a well-preserved town centre as attractions. Antibes is beautifully situated right on the Mediterranean Sea and overlooks the snow-capped peaks of the Southern Alps. An impressive sight. Antibes has grown together with the modern neighbouring town of Juan-les-Pins, which offers beautiful beaches, plenty of restaurants, bars, discos, a casino and a lively nightlife. Antibes and Juan-les-Pins are located on opposite sides of the beautiful Cap d'Antibes peninsula with pine forests, coves, private beaches and magnificent villas. Antibes offers a charming old walled city centre with narrow streets, beautiful squares and lively open squares. Here you'll find a myriad of exciting shops, restaurants and cafés. Cours Masséna is home to the city's old covered marketplace, Marché Provençal. From early morning, small stalls are set up with an abundance of fresh vegetables and fruits - the smell and colours alone, in true Provençal style, are an experience in themselves. Closer to the sea is Château Grimaldi, which houses a large and varied collection of Picasso's works. 
On the other side of the city walls are several fine sandy beaches and a large marina, called Port Vauban, where you can see some of the world's largest and most expensive yachts anchored. The marina is the largest in Europe and hosts a large and popular regatta every year in July. Don't forget to take a walk along the ramparts of the Promenade Amiral de Grasse, where the views of the sea are unbelievably beautiful.
